PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Located in the heart of Washington D.C., the Army Distaff Foundation welcomed our team to help capture and tell resident Lee’s story. Created by Mamie Eisenhower and other high-ranking officers’ wives, the Foundation built a home called Knollwood for the pensionless widows of officers in the first two World Wars. Their mission continues to thrive today and is home to a vibrant community of military retirees.
Reliant produced this video for the Army Distaff Foundation’s annual gala, which raises money and awareness to support the Knollwood community. Lee’s video was praised by guests attending the gala and is prominently featured on the Army Distaff Foundation’s website.
Upon arrival, Kristin and Lee hit it right off! They spent the first evening looking through old photographs from throughout Lee’s life, creating a scrapbook which we featured in the video. From stories about the love of her life to moving to Knollwood, Lee is just one of many who have found happiness within her new community.
